Spring 2009 “Alarm Clock – Wake Up Church”
I am going to share with you some things a friend of mine, Bob Ward, sent just the other day. He truly has a heart to see the Church step into the fullness of the Lord’s calling. We must repent and turn to the Lord. I have left his notes unedited. Please prayerfully consider what the Lord might say to you through this message. Are you awake? Are you ready? Are you discerning?
Blessings and L.O.V.E.,
Patty Paquette
Here are some recent news items.
JOS, Nigeria, December 11, 2008 (Compass Direct News) – The murderous rioting sparked by Muslim attacks on Christians and their property on Nov. 28-29 2008 left six pastors dead, at least 500 other people killed and 40 churches destroyed, according to church leader
NEW DELHI, March 10, 2009 (Compass Direct News) – In an effort to stop conversions to Christianity in the eastern state of Bihar, a 25-year-old ailing man on Sunday (March 8) exploded a crude bomb in a church and shot the pastor.
DHAKA, Bangladesh, February 5, 2009 (Compass Direct News) – Pilgrims to a massive Islamic conference near this capital city on Sunday (Feb. 1) beat and threatened to kill a Bible school student as he distributed Christian literature.
Recently, in America a pastor was shot to death in front of his congregation.
Muslim clerics rage about how all Jews and Christians should be eliminated.
Hatred towards Jews increases in Europe and pockets of America. As in Pre-War Germany be aware Christians.
Not to mention the onslaught of abortion throughout the world. Armies of drug lords. Entertainment filth. Spiritual emptiness. Materialistic "Feel Good" mega churches filled to the brim. Just to mention a few of what most of us know and even fewer want to discuss because it is so negative and depressing. They say or think what can we do besides pray and I doubt if there is a concentrated effort on our part to labor in prayer to think clearly and act righteously towards these times and events that sooner or later will touch us all very deeply.
What with the beautiful weather here in the Phoenix area, children playing, traffic roaring by, children and grandchildren being born by the minute, young couples getting married, sports stadiums filled, restaurants and movie theaters filled on weekends, wonderful church services being held, music concerts Christian and secular being held indoors and out. On and on. Why warn?
The first years of humankind a man and woman caught semi-naked and expelled from mega resort for mismanagement.
Sometime later murder occurs and the accused brother is banned to a foreign land.
Centuries later a good and innocent man is executed by the leaders of two nations for telling the truth, helping the sick and poor but not following the rule of the day. He also spoke against some of these leaders and gave a pretty profound prediction as to how his home nation would end up.
Within just a few years a young man in the same country is executed for telling about the other man that was executed for speaking absolute truth.
Soon after a young zealot goes around capturing other people who are following the teachings of the man that was executed for originating these beliefs. Something happened to interrupt the young executioner and persecutor of the followers of the truth as they were known. Last heard he joined them.
Through the centuries wars and rumors of wars; nearly Two Days in God's timing since His Son was executed most cruelly.
Are the times any different yesterday, today and for now!? Is our God the same yesterday, today and forever!? Did and does He feel betrayal yet most righteous anger at the same time? Was he committed to take action on behalf of His Mighty Name and His Creation or resigned to let things just take care of themselves?
Was He in His Mercy ready to forgive yet in His Righteous Judgment bring justice. I say both.
" The Alarm Clock "
Alarm clocks are a noisy, irritating, bothersome device but necessary for being awakened so one will not miss work or an event. Clocks come in all sorts of shapes and sizes but for the most part they are quite simple. There are the modern electric ones that turn on soothing music that lures you back to a semi-consciousness so you can stay inactive for awhile. Others are so loud you either slam them into submission and go back for more rest or they continue ringing until they run down or are programed to only go so long. Then there are those that have the two little bells on top with a little hammer in between that is wound so tight they just won't quit. They can be thrown out of the window but they are still intent on waking someone up or irritating others reminding them of the time. Imagine a cartoon of an alarm clock being thrown out of the window gets broken so it can't be shut off and people just keep throwing it or kicking it down the street where it ends in all kinds of odd places until it finally collapses in a heap at the junkyard. The clock ends up where all clocks go when they are run down and no longer useable.... the junkyard. This clock however is picked up off the dump heap by the wise white bearded old Watch Maker to take it home with Him.
Imagine again another alarm clock goes off, the owner rises quickly out of his slumber and gently presses the stop device. This person then jumps out of bed prepares himself and goes off to the work that is set before him wide awake and ready to do whatever his Employer asks. He charges out of the door remembering to love and obey his Employer and love others as well. However because he is wide awake he knows his surroundings and slows down to take an accounting of both the good and the perilous so he can warn others as he finds this ticking now inside himself. He hears the ticking of others as they pass by while others are sleep walking into oblivion. Some he knows quite well others are strangers and he sadly notes they have no interest to be awakened out of their sleep walking. He then joins with some of the others that have this ticking inside them and together they work together at the task at hand. Every day now they wait, watch and listen intently to what the Creator is showing them, making them more and more aware of what time it is. bob ward
If you have the "time" to read the following passages they may wind your clock as well.
Jeremiah 23:16-24 as it relates to today and all the nations for all scripture is good for advising, encouraging and most of all instruction. Whether it is 2000 years old or twice as old.
Adonai Tzavo'ot (The Lord Captain of the Hosts) says: "Don't listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. They make you act foolishly, telling you visions from their own minds and not from the Mouth of Adonai. They keep reassuring those that despise Me, 'Adonai says you will be safe and secure,' and saying to all living by their own stubborn hearts, 'Nothing bad will happen to you.' But which of them has been present at the council of Adonai to see and hear His Word? Who has paid attention to His Word enough to hear it?" "Look, the storm of Adonai, bursting out in fury, a whirling storm, whirling down upon the heads of the wicked! Adonai's anger will not abate until He fully accomplishes the purposes in his heart. In the acharit-hayahim (end of days) you will understand everything. I did not send these prophets; yet they ran. I did not speak to them; yet they prophesied. If they had been present at my council, they should let my people hear my Words and turn them from their evil way and the evil of their actions. "Am I God only when I am near," asks Adonai, "and not when far away?" "Can anyone hide in a place so secret that I won't see him?" asks Adonai. Adonai asks "do I not fill Heaven and Earth?"
Jeremiah 23: 29-31 "Isn't My Word like fire" asks Adonai, "like a hammer shattering rocks?" So, I am against the prophets" says Adonai, "who steals My Words from each other. Yes, I am against the prophets." says Adonai. "who speak their own words, then add ' He says.'
Revelation 7:13-8:1 One of the elders asked me, "These people dressed in white robes - who are they and where are they from?" "Sir," I answered, "you know." Then he told me, "these are the people who have come out of the Great Persecution. They have washed their robes and made them white by the the Blood of the Lamb. That is why they are before God's Throne.
'Day and Night they serve Him in the Temple; and the One Who sits on the the throne will put His Sh'khinah (Glory) upon them. They will never again be hungry, they will never be thirsty, the sun will not beat down on them, nor will any burning heat. "For the Lamb at the center of the throne will shepherd them, lead them to springs of living water and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
When the Lamb broke the Seventh Seal there was silence in Heaven for what seemed like half an hour.
Complete Jewish Bible ... emphasis mine (Bob Ward).
Pre-Tribulation, Mid-Tribulation snatching away; doesn't matter we are all slated for persecution of one sort or another forever promised by His Words to not give heed to the day as to draw fear but to know this and tell others. We will be taken eternally care of by His Everlasting Love and Mercy. On that day when we are ushered into His Presence. The One sitting there gleaming like diamonds and rubies and a rainbow shining like emerald encircling His throne. Amen

Local Neighborhood
L.O.V.E Clubs
Local
neighborhood L.O.V.E. Clubs meet weekly in the homes of women.
The format includes food, fun and fellowship centered around three
main activities.
- Worship
We believe the highest calling of all humans is to worship God
- that's what we were made for! The Bible says that everything
that has breath should praise the Lord. Jesus said that the
Father is looking for worshipers who will worship Him in spirit
and truth. So we spend the first part of our meeting time worshiping
God in song and opening prayer.
- Study
The Bible says that we should study to show ourselves approved.
So an hour of our time is spent in studying the Bible, the word
of God. Along with the Bible, we usually study a book that has
current application to our lives - something we can apply to
our real life experiences. The study of God's truth and application
of His ways releases us into freedom from religious bondage
and the bondage of habitual sin.
- Prayer
The final part of our weekly meeting is set aside for a time
of prayer. Very simply, prayer is communication with God. Communication
is a two-way proposition so not only do we talk to God about
our lives and ask Him for guidance, direction and healing -
but we make sure we wait on Him for the answers so that we can
do what He says.

"Do
not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And
the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
We desire
to join with you in presenting your requests, prayers, intercessions
and thanksgivings before God. We would count it a privilege to
come before God and His throne of grace on your behalf. If you
have any special needs in your life or in the lives of those you
love, please let us know and we will gladly bring your petitions
before God Almighty. For with God nothing is impossible!!!
