"Celebrating
Abba Father"
Let the scriptures, and thus God, speak for Himself. May He reveal His truly loving, perfect Father nature to you as you read and pray and meditate on these words. And then rejoice as you read who you are as His child.
Psalm 103
1. I bless the Holy name of God with all my heart. 2. Yes, I will
bless the Lord and not forget the glorious things He does for
me. 3. He forgives all my sins. He heals me. 4. He ransoms me
from hell. He surrounds me with lovingkindness and tender mercies.
5. He fills my life with good things! My youth is renewed like
the eagle's! 6. He gives justice to all who are treated unfairly.
7. He revealed His will and nature to Moses and the people of
Israel. 8. He is merciful and tender towards those who don't deserve
it; He is slow to get angry and full of kindness and love. 9.
He never bears a grudge, nor remains angry forever. 10. He has
not punished us as we deserve for all our sins; 11. for His mercy
towards those who fear and honor Him is as the height of the heavens
above the earth. 12. He has removed our sins as far as the east
is from the west. 13. He is like a father to us, tender and sympathetic
to those who reverence Him. 14. For He knows we are but dust,
15. and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers,
16. blown by the wind and gone forever. 17,18. But the lovingkindness
of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting, to those who reverence
Him; His salvation is to His children's children of those who
are faithful to His covenant and remember to obey Him! 19. The
Lord has made the heavens His throne; from there He rules over
everything there is. 20. Bless the Lord, you mighty angels of
His who carry out His orders, listening for each of His commands.
21. Yes, bless the Lord, you armies of His angels who serve Him
constantly. 22. Let everyone bless the Lord. And how I bless Him
too!
Romans 8:
14,15 (Amplified Bible)
"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit
of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have
received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship]
in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba Father!
Let's pray:
"Precious Abba Father, oh how we rejoice in Your goodness.
Thank You that Your love is perfect, pure and holy and sufficient
to meet all our needs. Thank You that You are trustworthy to keep
Your promise to never leave us or abandon us. As Your children,
we have so much to be grateful for. Lord, release Your power to
touch those who may be struggling in their hearts in their relationship
with You. Open understandings, reveal truth and bring healing.
Lead us all into deeper intimacy with You, our Abba Father. Bless
every father this Father's Day and strengthen them to be men who
provide godly leadership and take responsibility for the physical,
emotional and spiritual well-being of their children. Save those
fathers who don't know You yet. Father, we love You and celebrate
Who You are and Who you've made us to be as Your children - not
just on Father's Day but everyday. Giving You all the glory, praise
and thanksgiving. In Your name we pray, Amen.
Here's a little Bible study for you to do to help you transform
your mind according to God's word.
